Day- OK I’m losing count.
I just got back from the S.E.C. happy hour at Firefly in SoHo – so much fun! Supposedly it’s the “Georgia bar,” meaning that during football season, all of the misplaced UGA alums watch the games together there. I’ve heard that there are a bunch of other S.E.C. bars – I know Florida has a few and Alabama has one or two. I kind of like the idea. I’m not sure the games would even be on TV up here, and the idea of watching them with someone who isn’t yelling at the TV just doesn’t seem right.
I’m a little disturbed that there were WAY more Florida people there than there were UGA people. What’s the deal?
Anyway – I can’t wait for tomorrow because you know what? It’s supposed to be SUNNY. That’s right people – actual sunlight. Too bad I won’t be able to see much of it. Might just have to buy myself a cupcake for lunch to make me feel better. I’ve had my eye on the grasshopper for a while and I think tomorrow’s the day. And maybe, if I need extra cheering up, I might have to make a trip to American Apparel. Probably should wait til the paycheck comes though.
P.S. Saw this article on TheOnion and it would be funny if it wasn’t so true:
Fall Internship Pays Off With Coveted Winter Internship ***That’s if I’m lucky…***
I’ve noticed there are a disproportionate number of UF Alums here. And everywhere. Can’t they just congregate in one city far away (Gainesville would be fine) so we don’t have to deal with them?
okay fine, I guess I’m kidding since I have a ton of high school friends that went there but I agree – there are soo many of them!
